Jefferson on Private Bank Currency

Andrew Gause’s “The Secret World of Money” references the following chilling Jefferson quote:
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
Thomas Jefferson (Attributed)
3rd president of US (1743 – 1826)

hooray for TJ. He is my favorite founding father. If he were living today he would be a Ron Paul supporter. OR would Ron Paul be a Thomas Jefferson supporter? It doesn’t matter. What does matter is TJ is rolling over in his grave at what is happening in our political/financial world in the US.
I have read a great biography on Jefferson by Albert Nock & am starting today a biography on Alexander Hamilton the big government scoundrel. Cheers to you Brian.
